2017 International Assembly in Goolwa, Australia
In 2017 Goolwa, Alexandrina became the first Cittaslow outside of Europe to host the International Assembly, attracting 120 delegates from around the globe. The visitors were treated to three days of tours around the region, workshops and festivities in addition to the official annual meeting.
Committee members and volunteers have regularly attended as delegates to the Cittaslow International Annual Assembly, accompanying or representing the Mayor of Alexandrina as well as Cittaslow Goolwa Inc and the national Australasian Network. Members travel at their own expense on such occasions.
